Verizon Announces Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Partnership with Google

On October 4th, Google went on stage to announce a slew of new devices including the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Both come is assorted variants and colors, and both are available for pre-order from the exclusive partner Verizon.

Arguably, it is a bit misleading with how this is all played out and advertised, because both phones work on any US carrier, despite where you purchase the device, from Verizon or Google. However, to at least be in one carrier store and have any partnership will indeed boost sales. In comparison to the previous Nexus line (pre-Pixel if you will) which were never really in any carrier store at all (albeit Nexus 6, or Galaxy Nexus), those sales figures were no where close to LG or Samsung.

All variants of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL can be found on the Verizon Wireless website now, with an opportunity to pre-order. Both come in either 64GB or 128GB CPU sizes. The Pixel 2 has 3 color options: Just Black, Clearly White, and Kinda Blue. Although, Kinda Blue is only available with a 64GB memory size. The Pixel 2 XL has 2 color options: Black and White, and Just Black.

The full partnership announcement can be found here and it outlines several features that are available on the new Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL phones. Some of those features include: Google Assistant, Google Lens and IP67 water resistance.

Prices are as follows:
Pixel 2 with 64 GB: $649.99 or $27.08 per month for 24 months
Pixel 2 with 128 GB: $749.99 or $31.24 per month for 24 months
Pixel 2 XL with 64 GB: $849.99 or $35.41 per month for 24 months
Pixel 2 XL with 128 GB: $949.99 or $39.58 per month for 24 months

In addition, if you pre-order a new Pixel phone from Verizon, they will extend up to $300 in trade-in value (on select phones) if you sign up for a payment plan on the new phone, as well as a Google Mini "on us".
